We get this question all the time! Myriam Barreda is one of our dynamo coaches. Her nickname is Burrito. When you see Burrito in the schedule you can expect to meet a power house wrapped up in a little package… and most likely a few layers of clothing because she is always cold.
Simplified steps are as follows:
- Call or email to schedule and Introductory day with us
- Book and attend our 10 day Phase 1 Foundation Program
A CrossFit Lite workout has the same principles as a regular CrossFit class because we believe in them! Constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements. That being said, In a CrossFit Lite class we scale back the heavy weight lifting and take out the complex gymnastics movements found in our full CrossFit Program.
We only allow drop in’s if you are currently CrossFitting as a regular part of your life. If you are brand new and would like to try us out, please look at our schedule for a Bring a Friend WOD time slot or contact us to set up and Introductory day.
Visiting from an out of town CrossFit Affiliate? Please come see us! Feel free to come to any class. Show up 10 minutes early to sign a waiver and discuss any pertinent medical history. Cost is $10 per class, or free if you buy a shirt.
Dropping in from another local CrossFit Affiliate? Cost is $10 for your first visit and then $20 per class after that. If you like us enough to drop in regularly, you should probably just quit your old gym and join us with a regular membership!
If you have questions beyond that, please email email@example.com
Why does the Rest Day happen on different days every week and what happens in the gym on a Rest day?
We run programming in a 3 on 1 off system. This means we post 3 days in a row of workouts and then the 4th day is a rest day. Naturally with that system the rest days will rotate each week. The programming on a rest day becomes a choice of any of the previous 3 days of programming. If you have done all 3, you should be resting!
This affects our schedule class times a bit.
- Mon - Fri Rest Days drop the 3:30pm and 6:30pm class times
- Saturday Rest Days do not change
- Sunday Rest Days we are closed
When in doubt, refer to our schedule and default to what it says.
We do not ask you to sign a contract holding you to your membership for a certain amount of time. We try to offer as much flexibility to our members as possible and have come up with a system that seems to work well for both our members and us as a business.
When you join Taranis you are encouraged to commit to pre authorized monthly payments with either your VISA or an Auto Funds Transfer from your bank account. If you choose to pay with this system we only ask for 30 days of written notice for a hold or cancellation request. Forms are available from any coach at Taranis or via email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you wish to join Taranis but do not want to do pre authorized payments and choose to pay us monthly in person, we can accommodate that. The pay as you go system will cost more each month than the preauthorized membership. We think the reasons are pretty self explanatory.
