What Is HYROX?

HYROX is one of the fastest-growing fitness competitions in the world, and for good reason. It’s standardized, accessible, and designed for athletes of all levels. Every HYROX race follows the same format worldwide:

8 functional fitness stations
8 x 1km runs
Total: 8km + 8 stations

Ski erg, Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jump, row, farmer carry, sandbag lunge, and wall balls, all layered between repeatable running intervals.

The structure makes HYROX a great hybrid of strength and endurance. It rewards pacing, mental resilience, and efficiency under fatigue rather than pure max output. And because the race is the same everywhere, you can truly track your progress from event to event.

How We Train for HYROX at Taranis

Fridays - every class in our schedule on Friday is a workout with a HYROX vibe. Longer format, simple functional movements and various machines to push your capacity.

Sundays at 845am, we run a focused HYROX session built to simulate the flow of race day. You’ll rotate through stations layered with running intervals, practicing not just the physical work but the strategy that separates strong finishes from great ones.

Each session includes:

  • Run intervals between stations

  • Race-standard stations and movement variations

  • Coaching on pacing and movement efficiency

  • Breathing and transition strategies

  • Progressive conditioning to build HYROX-specific capacity

You’ll train alongside other athletes preparing for races, as well as curious newcomers who simply want a new challenge in their fitness journey. And yes, you’ll get very familiar with the sled.

Our coaching team knows how to build your engine, improve your movement economy, and prepare you mentally and physically for the steady grind of race day. Programming all done in-house by Steve Howell, and Sundays led by Jackie Snell.

Training solo is hard. Some days, having others do the same thing around you can give you the boost you need. Doing one of our HYROX classes, you never feel like you're training alone.

4. Flexible Access

Not a Taranis member? No problem, we offer drop-ins!
We also offer 5 or 10 class packs. When you purchase the class pack option, you become a Taranis Member and get included in our early registration details.
